Ross Middleton Eventing Clinics

Ross combines his talent as a rider with a growing renown as a trainer and coach. His focus on positive reinforcement and straightforward analysis has made him a popular and much sought-after instructor for amateurs, younger riders and advanced riders. Ross' students range from upper level competitors to beginners going to their first event and those just needing a bit of confidence. His students consistently qualify for the Championships for Pony Club, Scope, Riding Clubs and young horse finals, and have numerous wins at prestigious events across the country. Ross' clear, classical training methods and dedication to establishing groundwork has yielded a proven history of training and rehabilitating young or difficult horses into champions. His ability to identify world-class prospects and develop them to the peak of their ability provides a firm foundation for his future competitive success. Ross' horsemanship is paramount: his commitment to the well-being of the horse forms a system that balances competitive edge with long-term stability in the sport. Ross' primary focus is eventing, but instructs many riders in pure dressage and jumpers as well as preparing riders for their exams. We will be running either flatwork sessions, jumping sessions or a bit of both. Ross will also be happy to sit on your horse as well.

POLEWORK AND CAVALLETTI CLINICS
  • Monday 9th July at Low Fold 6pm

Cavalletti is a valuable tool in training both the horse and rider. They can be used in a myriad of configurations to help develop and improve strength, balance, and judgment. Riders benefit by gaining security in the saddle and developing an independent seat. From students learning to jump, to riders advancing their technical skills, confidence can be gained over trot and grid cavalletti. Training the dressage and hunter/jumper horse with cavalletti will benefit by: building muscle fitness, enhance stretch and strength in the topline, and improve lengthening and collecting the stride. All this and they are simply a lot of fun and a break from all that flatwork!

Cost is £20 for an hours group session
